Fly Fishing and Horse Back Trips:
We’ll hike the Ruby Mountains for Brook trout in
the many mountain lakes and streams.
Or we’ll go after record-size rainbow, cutthroat,
and small mouth bass on the other side of those alpine mountains at the
Ruby Marshes.
At either location we’ll be surrounded by snow-capped
peaks and a clear blue sky. We may catch a glimpse of mountain goats and
sheep, and mule deer too.
Also available - Horseback trips -
one day or two to three day camping experiences.
Beautiful scenery mountain, lake fishing, you may
be lucky and even see a snow cock (Hungarian snow
partridge). Great dutch oven cooking!

Overlight Line Camp:
We’ll drive from Elko to the east end of the Ruby Mt to pick up
our horses and guide.
The Line camp trail meanders through aspen groves and open hills blanketed
in yellow, blue, red, and fuschia wildflowers. Red-tailed hawks and eagles
draw circles in a clear blue sky, and mule deer browse the meadows.
You’ll be led by a seasoned cowboy who knows this country like
the back of his hand and who loves showing it off.
You may walk in or ride horseback, and your gear will come in horseback.
Four hearty meals will be cooked over open fire, and you’ll sleep
under a starry canopy in the open air or in a tent, your choice. For a

Tuscarora and Jarbridge Tours:
One place we love to visit is the old gold mining town, Tuscarora. Some
of the old buildings still stand, but now there’s the added attraction
of artists. The town has become an artist colony, of sorts, with a pottery
school, and artists’ studios showcasing jewelry, watercolor, pastel,
oil, plein air paintings, and glass beads. It’s fun to stroll the
dusty streets and talk with people who have moved here to escape the big
city life.
Jarbridge is a mining town at the base of the jarbidge river and Jarbridge
Mts. The town has a hotel and a bed and breakfast plus a restraint bar.
This two day adventure (one day in and one day out) is one of the most
scenic in all of Elko County.
